TRANSPORTATION (New in 2011/2012)
(pending Ministry approval)

• The Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) in Construction is an ideal pathway for students interested in pursuing a career related to Construction.
• Successful students will receive their Ontario Secondary School Diploma with the designation of SHSM in Construction.
• Participating students may also have the opportunity to graduate with Basic Level Carpentry with a dual credit through Fleming College. 
• As part of the program, students will receive construction sector related certifications that will make them more marketable to employers.
• Certifications include:

1. First Aid / CPR
2. Construction Health and Safety
3. WHMIS
4. Fall/Arrest Training
5. Propane Training
6. Hoisting and Rigging

• The Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) in Transportation is an ideal pathway for students interested in pursuing a career in the Transportation Field.
• Successful students will receive their Ontario Secondary School Diploma with the designation of SHSM in Transportation.
• Participating students will have an opportunity to participate in Dual Credit courses at Fleming and Durham College.
• Students will receive Transportation related certifications that will make them more knowledgeable and employable to employers.
• Certifications include:

1. First Aid/ CPR
2. Health and Safety Basic
3. WHMIS
4. Fall Arrest Training
5. Ozone Depletion
6. Vehicle Lift Safety Training
